This is a mini test/demo of a project to easily let people register various online accounts and gather them up into one SIOC file. Please give it a whirl, and any feedback is much appreciated. Email to Patrick Gosetti-Murrayjohn: pgosetti@umw.edu. Thanks!

The as-yet minimal instructions are below. Hopefully they're straightforward, but they'll certainly be developed and prettified soon. The idea is to make a registration system that doesn't require any knowledge of rss from users. Instead, they just have to know some fairly low minimums of the things they already use.

Step 1

To register your del.icio.us account, bookmark this page. Do this first, so the del.icio.us database has time to record the data. NOTE: This probably won't quite work for the demo--you might see previous testers' del.icio.us info. In the real version, each person will have their own userid, and that will differentiate between people. Here, everyone is 'demo', so it gets confused.

Step 2

To register a flickr account, click here. WARNING! Make sure that someone else is not currently logged into flickr on your computer first!

Step 3

In all your WordPress blogs (more general support is coming soon), send a trackback (not a ping) to this page. (The place to enter a url for a trackback is just below the post entry form.)

When you're done, click here to see the raw data.
